Golf & Country Club Praha - Hodkovičky

  • GCC Hodkovičky was founded in 1983 as the Czech Republic's 10th golf club.

  • The area has gradually assumed its current appearance since 1996, when GCCH was established as a joint-stock company. As a first step, illegal rubbish dumps were removed and flood-prevention measures along the Vltava River were enhanced. Training areas were opened in 1998. A driving range and a 9-hole putting green emerged on 17 hectares in the river's floodplain. In the following years, a chipping green, a new 9-hole putting green and 3 training holes were added.

  • The 2002 floods left indelible traces on the Hodkovičky property but a quality 6-hole course was opened in the autumn of 2003. In 2004, the southern part of the area was made available to the public with putting and chipping and tee-off greens.

  • A grand opening ceremony for the standardized and fully irrigated 9-hole, 36/72 par, 5,498 meter course was held on the 29th of July, 2005.

  • The picturesque course which has emerged in Hodkovičky gives the impression that it has been there for centuries. It is very interesting from the perspective of design, and it significantly enriches the golfing sport's portfolio in the capital city. Fine views of the Vltava River, Barrandov, and Vyšehrad; many water hazards, exceptional contouring and large, quality greens are among the course's greatest attractions.

  • Dividends of the regular, professional maintenance of the course are the flawless greens and the beautiful grass on the fairways.

  • The GCCH offers the largest training area in the Czech Republic.
