Golf & Racing Club Karlovy Vary

  • Golf has a long history in our region. The first golfing club was founded in Karlsbad in 1904.

  • Unlike other golf courses in Karlsbad, our course is open to the public. This means that anyone can play here without a greencard if they are accompanied by a coach or someone whose handicap is 36 or less.

  • In order to create a four-season, full service facility, construction was started in 2002 on a 9-hole, 18-green public golf course on the grounds of the race track in Karlsbad. In design competition, the entry from course architect Städler was chosen and construction was completed in 2005. The plan has nine fairways and eighteen greens. This means that it is actually an 18-hole course. To play the standard 18 holes, golfers will play each fairway twice, but each time to a different green. This is a unique project and there are only a few courses like it in the entire world. The length of the holes ranges from 120 m. (par 3) to 485 m. (par 5).

  • The course was built according to USGA norms, the standard for golf course construction around the world.

  • A part of the facility upgrade was the installation of an automatic irrigation system for individual holes and for the racetrack. All of this means that good quality golf will be available to the general public.

  • Thanks to the construction of the par 68, 4,932 m. golf course, the racing facility has gained another recreational attraction that will make a major contribution to sporting possiblities not only for Karlsbad residents but also for incoming guests ...
