Golf Club Poděbrady

  • Golf Club Poděbrady was established in 1961 and construction of the golf course was begun in the same year. This ranks our club amongst those with the longest tradition in the Czech Republic. Architects B. Wagner and K. Havelka designed the course located near the spa town of Poděbrady on the banks of the Labe River. It lies on about 100 ha of meadowland at the edge of a forest and includes, in addition to the course itself, a driving range and chipping and putting greens all at about 189 meters above sea level. The course contains plenty of water hazards and forested areas and owing to the region's mild climate, it can be played in nearly any season. One of the course's big advantages is its easy accessibility, about a 40 minute drive along the highway from Prague.

  • The 18 - hole golf course was finished in 2000 and club premises were moved from the bank of Labe River and now occupy part a of the area of the "České Radiokomunikace" company. This enabled futher development of club golfing facilities and other activities. At the beginning of 2003, a comprehensive watering system was finished and the golf course currently offers above the everage playing conditions. It was certified as PAR 72 in September 2003.

  • A "rondo-cubist" style building houses a restaurant and cafeteria which are open to the public. Accommodation, seminar rooms and event facilities with a capacity of 500 people are available. This building and some other properties have been held by GC Poděbrady since 2005.

  • An indoor double-floor driving range with 8 tees was built in 2000 and the outdoor driving range was modernized in 2005. Golf Club Poděbrady provides plenty of room for a first rate game of golf and for training all year round. A complete range of courses is offered: for beginners, for families with children and of course, even training with a professional coach.

  • We offer golf equipment rental for course participants as well as for other visitors to our golfing area.
