Golf Resort Konopiště

One of the most beautiful golf resorts in our country can be found 40 km south of Prague. Golf Resort Konopiště was inaugurated on July 20, 2002. Its foundation is the Manorial Estate of Tvoršovice, whose history dates back to the 10th century. Its last owner, the Bartoň family, used it as a summer residence. Golf Konopiště a.s. joined the project in 1997 and built the resort and its pride - two 18-hole master courses. These are the Radecký Course bearing the name of one of the former owners and famous marshal of the Napoleonic Wars, Václav Radecký of Radeč, and the D'Este Course named after Archduke Ferdinand d'Este, successor to the Austrian Throne.
The courses are advantageously situated in a landscape with slight slopes, surrounded by forest and include various bunkers and numerous water barriers. Large modelled greens are a special characteristic feature of the courses.
There is also a 9-hole Public Course available to players without a Green Card. The large Driving Range and short game areas are suitable places for training. An indoor golf facility is available for winter-time use.
Large grounds including a training green with grass tee-off areas, chipping and putting greens and a bunker are prepared for training.
The entire resort was constructed in cooperation with the Professional Golfers Association of Europe (PGAE).
A beautiful, renovated chateau with clubroom, reception, pro-shop and a restaurant, is the jewel of the resort. Another important component of the resort is the "Chateau Hotel" featuring accommodation in luxurious rooms and ideal premises for conferences and social events. Additional gastronomic services are provided by the "Steak House" restaurant.
